So, this came up in my Dashboard from a friend I follow (if you don’t already follow her, I recommend that you do: theangryblackwoman.tumblr.com). And, as my curious mind wandered to what “My Tram Experience” would entail, I followed the link and came flush to face with complete ignorance and racism. It’s hard to really stomach it these days considering “how far we’ve come,” but it’s acts like this, showcased in this video, that makes reality even heavier to bear.
Yet, such is the, unfortunate, way of life at times. And as my friend’s friend said in response to this video, “Ignorance knows no nationality.”
Randomness
What black and white photos can do better than color. Black and white creates an immediacy and authority, particularly with faces, that often surpasses that of color. It also allows the photographer great freedom of interpretation.
